class=\"antiragging-content\">\r\n\r\n\r\n <p>\r\n Any student found indulging in any form of ragging or harassment of fellow boarders is liable to be expelled from the College. In this regard, the guardian will have to sign an undertaking at the time of admission\/renewal as per the recent verdict of the Honourable Supreme Court of India. Any boarder found guilty of violating any of the college rules will be expelled from the College.\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n <p>\r\n As per the UGC Guideline [No. F-1-16\/2007 (CPP-II), April, 2009], all forms of ragging in hostels and the College Campus are prohibited. Ragging is considered a cognizable offence under the law of the land and ragging in all its forms is totally banned in the entire institution, including its departments, constituent units, and all its premises (academic, residential, sports, canteen etc.), whether located within the campus or outside, and in all means of transportation of students, whether public or private.\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n <h2>\r\n Punishable Ingredients of Ragging\r\n <\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n <ul>\r\n\r\n <li>Abetment of ragging.<\/li>\r\n\r\n <li>Criminal conspiracy to rag.<\/li>\r\n\r\n <li>Unlawful assembly and rioting while ragging.<\/li>\r\n\r\n <li>Public nuisance created during ragging.<\/li>\r\n\r\n <li>Violation of decency and morals through ragging.<\/li>\r\n\r\n <li>Injury to body, causing hurt or grievous hurt.<\/li>\r\n\r\n <li>Wrongful restraint.<\/li>\r\n\r\n <li>Assault as well as sexual offences or unnatural offences.<\/li>\r\n\r\n <li>Use of criminal force.<\/li>\r\n\r\n <\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n <h2>\r\n Disciplinary Action Against Ragging\r\n <\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n <p>\r\n The following strong disciplinary actions may be taken if anyone is found to be involved directly or indirectly in ragging:\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n <ul>\r\n\r\n <li>Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges.<\/li>\r\n\r\n <li>Withholding or withdrawing scholarship\/fellowship and other benefits.<\/li>\r\n\r\n <li>Debarring from appearing in any test, examination or other evaluation process.<\/li>\r\n\r\n <li>Cancellation of admission.<\/li>\r\n\r\n <li>Rustication from the institution for a period ranging from 1 to 2 years.<\/li>\r\n\r\n <li>Expulsion from the institution and consequent debarring from admission to any other institution for a specified period.<\/li>\r\n\r\n <li>Collective punishment: when the persons committing or abetting the crime of ragging are not identified, the authority will resort to collective punishment.<\/li>\r\n\r\n <\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n <div class=\"members-button-wrapper\">\r\n\r\n <div class=\"members-button\">\r\n Members\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n <div class=\"table-wrapper\">\r\n\r\n <table class=\"members-table\">\r\n\r\n <thead>\r\n\r\n <tr>\r\n\r\n <th>Sl. In this regard, the guardian will have to sign an undertaking at the time of admission\/renewal as per the recent verdict of the Honourable Supreme Court of India. Any boarder found guilty of violating any of the college rules will be expelled from the College.\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n <p>\r\n As per the UGC Guideline [No. F-1-16\/2007 (CPP-II), April, 2009], all forms of ragging in hostels and the College Campus are prohibited.
