The department of Economics was established in PDUGMC, Katlicherra from the very inception of the college in the year 2020. At present, the Economics department provides courses in Economics at Higher Secondary level under Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, Bamunimaidam, Guwahati and at the UG level under Assam University, Silchar. From starting to till date, the department is running with full of three faculty members. The faculties of the department are experienced and dedicated in teaching and research in Economics. The department ensures a friendly cohesion between teachers & students. Students always feel free to communicate with the teachers in the department regarding various aspects of their academic endeavour.
