At Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Govt Model College, Katlicherra, the Women Cell is committed to promoting an inclusive, safe, and supportive educational environment where women can pursue their academic and personal aspirations with confidence. The cell works towards creating awareness about gender equality, women's rights, dignity, safety, and opportunities for personal and professional development.

The Women Cell provides a platform for addressing gender-related concerns and encouraging meaningful participation of women in academic, cultural, social, and institutional activities. Through awareness programmes, workshops, seminars, counselling, and skill-development initiatives, the cell seeks to empower women with knowledge, confidence, and resources that can contribute to their overall growth.

Our Mission

1. Empower Women: The Women Cell seeks to empower women by providing access to knowledge, guidance, resources, and opportunities that support their academic, professional, and personal development. It encourages participation in workshops, seminars, leadership programmes, skill-building activities, self-defence awareness, and career-oriented initiatives.
2. Promote Gender Equality: The cell works towards creating awareness about gender equality and addressing attitudes, practices, and stereotypes that may create barriers for women. It promotes a respectful campus culture that values diversity, equality, dignity, and the contributions of every individual.
3. Address Concerns and Provide Support: The Women Cell provides an appropriate platform for women to express concerns, seek guidance, and access support regarding gender-related challenges. It encourages sensitive handling of concerns and promotes appropriate counselling, guidance, and referral to competent authorities wherever necessary.
4. Create a Safe Environment: The cell works in coordination with the college administration, faculty members, students, and other relevant stakeholders to promote a safe and supportive campus environment. It contributes to awareness and preventive initiatives aimed at addressing harassment, discrimination, violence, and other concerns affecting the safety and dignity of women.

Through its continued activities and initiatives, the Women Cell aims to strengthen confidence, leadership, awareness, and self-reliance among women students and members of the college community. It remains committed to fostering an environment where women can participate equally, express themselves freely, and pursue their educational and professional goals with dignity and confidence.
