Considering importance of history in various competitive examinations like IAS, UPSC, APSC, SSC, TET, NET, CTET, Police Service, Banks, Travel and Tourism etc. both at central and state level, Department of History was started in the year 2020 i.e. with the foundation of the college.The objective of the department is to encourage the learning history as it takes us back to our roots, tradition and culture and helps us to avoid the mistakes of our past and plan for the better future.

In addition to regular class, the Department organizes class wise seminars, viva-voice for the students in connection with the Internal Assessment, prepares students for Quiz Competition and Group Discussion, so that they can keep pace with the time. The dedicated faculty members are always ready to render all possible assistance and guidance to students within and outside the campus as an when required.

Vision & Mission:

Through teaching, research and extension activities in India’s history within the framework of world history, the History Department aims at giving students a background to past events and their legacy. It is our belief that only a critical understanding of the past will allow students to understand the present and help them to think about the future.

Make the students responsible citizens, with a critical understanding of past history and its aftermath. To give students a lifetime’s passion to learn about the past in order to cope with challenges of globalization, by teaching them that they are capable of doing so. The students will gain confidence in dealing with such challenges by learning about the interconnections of international, national, regional and local history.

Course Outcome:

To create interest towards the cultural and historical background of India.

To understand various historical incidents and to help students for preparing competitive examination.

To help the students to identify and evaluate conflicting interpretations and to develop capacity to explain how and why important events happen.

It inspires the students through bravery and courage of our fore fathers.

It inculcates critical thinking, reading, writing and research skills among students.
