Department Profile

The Department of Economics at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Government Model College, Katlicherra, was established with the inception of the college in 2020. The department offers Economics at the Higher Secondary level under the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, Bamunimaidam, Guwahati, and at the undergraduate level under Assam University, Silchar. Through its academic programmes, the department seeks to develop a sound understanding of economic principles, contemporary economic issues, and their relevance to society.

The department is supported by a dedicated team of faculty members who are committed to teaching, academic development, and research in the field of Economics.
