Sexual Harassment Cell

The Sexual Harassment Cell at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Govt Model College, Katlicherra, is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, inclusive, and dignified environment for all students, faculty members, and staff. The cell works towards preventing and addressing sexual harassment and promoting a campus culture based on equality, dignity, mutual respect, and freedom from discrimination.

The cell functions in accordance with applicable legal provisions and institutional guidelines relating to the prevention, prohibition, and redressal of sexual harassment. It provides an appropriate platform through which individuals can raise concerns or report grievances, while ensuring that complaints are handled with sensitivity, confidentiality, fairness, and due process.

The Sexual Harassment Cell seeks to ensure that complaints and concerns are addressed promptly and impartially. It facilitates appropriate guidance and support for individuals who approach the cell and coordinates with the competent college authorities for taking necessary action in accordance with established procedures and applicable regulations.

In addition to grievance redressal, the cell places strong emphasis on prevention and awareness. It organizes awareness programmes, workshops, seminars, and sensitization activities to educate students and staff about gender equality, personal dignity, respectful behaviour, workplace and campus safety, and the importance of maintaining an environment free from harassment.
